I personally like blogger because it is a lot easier than writing a lot of essays or keeping an actual diary, there is very little need to put in effort to organise it, as the computer does that for us, however I don’t really like posting videos of myself on there.

When we had our finished product we used Youtube to upload the footage of our video and get feedback from the general population of youtube.Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-86388621288586960202011-05-03T09:26:00.000-07:002011-05-05T07:53:07.481-07:00Evalution with a bit of pop music playing in the background.Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-63613192044172843572011-02-22T12:30:00.000-08:002011-03-07T03:43:32.049-08:00Making of the movie poster (Ancillary Task)After me completing the magazine cover, I then started to work on the film poster as part of my coursework. I wanted to give it a similar look to the magazine but not too much. So in my mind, I had an idea of having a basic wall for the background but not fully visible, with some bullet shot hit. This way the audience would easy be able to identify what type of film genre this film is going to be, just by looking at the poster, as they say “movie poster sells, using its original image”

So again I plan to use Photoshop as it one of the most powerful image editing software you could possibly get. I am going to use the same image of Josh pointing a gun and Baxter looking mysteriously shocked. Because this is a poster I decided to include the villain as which in this case is Phil Eaton. So basically Josh will be pointing the gun at Phil.

To start of I added an image of a brick wall. I then turned that image into black and which and set the opacity to 92%. After I set the background to black, to give the vigilantes typical look. And then I used the Lasso tool to scrap it image around which gave it a very light smoky look, with a darker background.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQCXct0JKgiDTcSAvlJ2-tbnfKIs-pTcoueFveV7IiCICNWcoZpN5tOmc8ZEDWy9ZQ528WTEDVf82K4BzoxVzU7yCa_ZPq6N6rn3P_KK2dTFRonxqk0hT9VcSSFbNgMwDFnx3ZCDPDFlyB/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576615643110486562" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 248px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjOvcP_QT9iY6sV315_9OmFV0JuONmFir2FvubIzds0UxrG-uq3khcnuraw9kqgWkH8HSCokobLhiSfCMBT51hgRM0toVlqO9eAZqa1Mt2NUe4Le-KK__kgj3R7qcA77bYRut8lrIsrWU6/s320/2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576831999639564530" />

Now is the time for me to add the 2 images of Josh and Baxter which I had already photoshoped. I placed them into their positions. And planned out where the title wound go. As I have researched many posters online, they mainly had their title name underneath the focused images. I decided to do the same and kept the title underneath the main image. However I didn’t like leaving the title with plain red, so I decided to add images of the main characters Josh, Baxter and Phil t he title. So what I did was created a black page, print screened a suitable image of each character. I added a copy of the brick wall in black and white. Made a copy of “vigilantes” title image as a layer, transformed it to set “multiply” this means another layer can overlay on top of the “vigilantes” layer which I though to put the main characters images on to it. With the black and white wall, so it does not look odd with the black background on the poster.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJz_2DnVcuFbe6TUfIpOMkHQKCyaUXMgTKHXBHpabzfEzBGtPI1UZUvRnSgC1tcj8mSweccg0CRPPFhd2cswuhtT_4IkUHCLJdQZUMU4alrLohgkmGgISD9o1tx8QWnbQ_ow1b5Nkc-izu/s320/3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576832248328438738" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 169px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW2oFXzUFoXVk98tMYzLz7pvLuL9lH4h6QqSWut-K6BBsagJ1Uf4x-ymfkoveM6n6Qyc2MYrpKOehUAQi94U06R9jYlTdiqTJ3JPUhUmWpe2dWpsfoU1y6CQykOGbR8rtl_jtjOghz0WEK/s320/4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576832395331191682" />

There are no main rules on if an extra image can go on a poster or not. So I decided to take picture of the alleyway where Baxter gets kidnapped by Phil and Photoshop it in such way so it will give a gloomy and horror look. This should make the audience a bit uncomfortable, thinking to them that alleyway is really a creepy place where as it actually is not. And I took a picture of Phil (the villain) and cropped his while body out so I could place him standing on that alleyway, where the audience first see his face from the trailer. I want the audience to feel as if the alleyway is the kind of place where Phil (the villain) likes to remain within. I then also set the opacity of Phil and the image of the alley way to 45% and 25%. This now looks like this.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 283px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZVCaFajG7YvkYN1wvnxqlwZzGd5v14UZEGh-0KVA1QjBMZ33Lk5ib0P7A_yTi8Hg_QQAx3yDASX5mrNeLUWRu0AOwu7-4jwOiJwfnDYejG58Q9OlYLF3ncIUD3V0jo4AFiW7cKGqMGkrr/s320/5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576832681956601842" />

There are no main rules on if an extra image can go on a poster or not. I only had 3 main characters to this film so I decided to add their names above on the top of the page just above their heads. Using the house style of bright red, font size 30pt with the blending of Outer glow, this will give a bit of a highlight behind the text and will make it look really professional. Every action poster has some kind of dialogue which relates to the movie e.g. for the movie poster “Taken” its cheesy dialogue is:
They have taken his daughter
He will hunt them
He will find then
And he will kill them
So Jamie Paxton came with “Family is everything” which is agreed on and decided to put the text underneath the title.

The other elements which I include was the production details “Jatrix production presents an action film staring jousha hall, phlip Eaton and Cameron baxter from the producers of “aftermath” and “dont scream”in assocation with new line cinema, touchstone pictures and sumit entertainment” in a descending order. S at the bottom I added directed by me (Ahmed Mohammed) on the left hand corner and Produced by Jamie Paxton on the right hand corner, using the same house style.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 286px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixosg-igUwcegdMbd96_CiRyX_ww6jRV4ogNaWVLqfEYNsOIMTFv-tzYlmZgfIb030_n-fk7U49ebcbAb3w06XeOkPcR9RAd-G8ZN1RLEV98fFxI1Tvzps1iX6dzvyM7lk5td6kkgEA13c/s320/6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576832893883780034" />

Finally I created some fake bullet holes. At first it took me some time to figure out how to make them using some online tutorials, but then I eventually got it. What I did was, opened a blank image, set the background to black, used the rectangle tool to draw out one going downwards in white colour, clicked on filter>stylize>wind and then clicked ok. This will give sharp edges to the rectangle I have created. I then selected on image>rotate canvas>90 degree CW, then filter>distort>Polar Coordinates. This will turn the rectangle round with the sharp edges pointing outwards looking like a screen crack, I then clicked images>adjustments>invert. This will turn the image the opposite colours. Then to gain just the bullet hole, you use the magic wand tool and you click around the outer hole and select>inverse, you then just copy and paste the layer on to the poster, I made 3 different types of holes to make it looks realistic. So I added 5 bullet hopes to the movie poster. This completes the movie poster for “Vigilantes”

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilJ3n85kpoa9z_evd3NJIs8qtlVqjkFvdSLW4RZp_3bZC5T9mjgXcy9BLc4XxBT09aoBiE_-o7s-R9Pb80MftvYzQKdq5YT2u7Eg6uhuRqWoIj1iKxvMSqI8sUxbPWDi0nkT0o2eoZcJs9/s320/7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576842673625419346" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 244px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-ldnusIlsM1NuX0yfyDqfNolJui0ADAZ-e1vmFAhhw-0mZMN7bq16xVK5sU5KoofM5IfFRGVZIvjZxQKh-3eWcClOG3X50DKdMWyTKqAoz3Rpsa-ThF-iJIvZWebkpuNMpuzZfndJltfI/s320/8.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576842806526049618" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 278px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh84lgBq2kK-Ny91ekO7fwHq_vRHYDlQ6dpl38K-AFIubIQPNbJo7albV8yq_HgcGyZflpI_pc7JYFdxa9gTkDseDqsDuWFKoVHx6EEuYRfm-gPJ-UMp9Jgc3YsdDEenif6Yl5XZ_3BdB2r/s320/9.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576842922808392098" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 181px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXp_W_nJRJUFCFmk4xKYFJQ0HUBoDXZUSQiCnKUTDSTi-tGSe0iCJvmMrN6hd4X24JUDD0BN-Wsqrs9syW87a8kdxfIKyFugsGSGmhtCjUZwPhtWYpZNLZIcf4QdHmocnr-J-QtHzTe0nN/s320/10.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576843051241945122" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 270px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGZmmJS2xpJi6-ih693NMZ7Eia3GCpMne0-zlqtwwS1o7PEn6YKsyVtsdKKLgHtNQ4s7WrzTTpC2cT1i2uSLU4baY9vjF0mJw-eirljP3Q3FH0N3OFkmOZV1TyAeVUBylQ7lx1HUmbJfi5/s400/movie+poster+FINISHED.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576843280715611602" />Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-3881182060344676962011-02-16T05:00:00.000-08:002011-03-26T03:42:04.623-07:00Youtube Views By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955We currently have 35 views on youtube!
not actually very important in the grand scheme of things but the fact that people are watching it makes me happy!
It would be better if I wasn't telling half the people to look it up and check it out myself!!! :(Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-2407784981613005802011-02-13T08:31:00.000-08:002011-03-26T03:42:40.284-07:00Movie Poster By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955By all rights I should be writing absolutely nothing about this as I have very little discearnable talent when it comes to photoshop, however I have been taking pictures for the poster in its first stage, and I wanted to make an update on what I've been doing, so I cannot be accused of leaving all of this work to Ahmed.
I have been working as the photographer for the group, we only have a basic digital camera but I took the picture of Josh that we used for the magazine cover and I have also taken the first batch of pictures of Josh and Cameron in the alley where he gets taken. However since Ahmed and I failed to communicate properly on exactly what we wanted from these pictures I had an idea in my head and Ahmed had a different one, so I will be shooting again later this week, hopefully this time I will get some really good shots. I am also going to work on the vlog which comes as the next part of our task, I have been planning that in my head. I have also gone on the internet to seek inspiration from "vlog celebrities" such as Nerimon and Charlieissocoollike and Raywilliamjohnson all of which have been very helpful in the planning, we have also looked at the vlog of Vixen productions, from last year who did the "voodoo child" video and come reccommended as work to aspire to from the exam board.
That's my update done for nowPakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-23784776512686298272011-02-11T13:27:00.000-08:002011-03-07T03:44:09.288-08:00The making of the Film Magazine Cover (Ancillary Task)For the past week, I have been working towards making a magazine cover for our film using Photoshop. Paxton and I decided using a unique name for the magazine, so we came up with “review” magazine with the sub heading of “exclusive interviews only with review magazine”. I then made a decision of tweaking the word “REVIEW”. So i removed the V and added a film clapper board instead, as it relates to movies. To make it look more professional i added “EXCLUSIVE” on top off it with the colour of red.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8brTd-W7IAtb3NrjboLAqODRP4Tr2wur5-1qtgSpd15OrlrsjZlzA4ayY05rGll2EwmxzGB9t-04spY0KOAwJvUesi3RJ7ZFttz_kRlRcb7xUriEiYq7wurv3cD05uOj3iT6Bn2fCs4YL/s320/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572547224951127090" />

Because our film trailer looks pretty serious, i decided to give a black and white background using the gradient tool in Photoshop. So the black and white colours blend with each other equally.

I then added our films title name at the bottom of the page which is “VIGILANTES” with its original colour and font type. Because its font colour is neon red, I tend using the same red colour for the headings under the topics, as you normally see these days on a film magazine cover, which in my magazine is “Hot News” and Top Tips”. Underneath the two headings i added really cheesy news that would make the reader to the actual article that is directed by a page number printed below the news.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCQm1sbRaAGqCK6qNv8rtc_UV7MhZsGB0hrm7XGc9VdWSeiwhk85Sn0i6uFaIWc_3msPEPl0OVFJLc9zBi0okQ6MoR2vNxN6xHot5eFtfxG9ow-_nRW4W9BzS7enqmDfopv6mOeKhzEIqb/s320/2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572547427534994002" />

The next thing i added to the magazine cover is the one of the main elements the image. This is what a reader first looks at, as it is big and it sells the film from it. So Jamie and I took some pictures of Baxter and Joshua at a mid range shot using an 8.5 megapixel digital camera at the time of daylight. We wanted such pose that will make the reader understand of the type of genre the film is, so we told josh to point a gun at one of his sides. And we told Baxter to make curious facial expression. So we basically wanted the reader to understand that this is an action based film. We decided not to include Phil because he is a villain and is not really important for the front cover of a film magazine.

Then using Photoshop I carefully cropped both the images out using the pen tool and started playing around the Brightness/Contract tool, after turning the image into black and white. To give a professional look I added some light feather effect around both images using the lasso tool.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 145px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkLrTmaoUcrpQeB1pCUnLAGo6kRAvW6F5ZYCFPBymntDY2BKL1WvAM1JA5MmE5d76gOS4r57v2y0OKR6SyTy_QoNWGEBcUjn4ylzQYSL81gQYP5ihd_nMu6JSc-6vJ1uj-HZD1h8-61Q_d/s320/3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572547678751257426" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 114px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLkErwgv27KS3yFMzEvrzvt5_upXZP6ymkiM_0_-1_oUH35yp80e4Fi9pGg2Gb5sQFsLlg_eaEkI1ylhWmiKIZwZFcv6SGbQQIAzxBX0FQAWUOhOF0hCLpBmtP29tbto39gEsyWERovfNw/s320/4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572550381276311490" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4rcePPBK5siwkb-6ec5CW5ST6ZX7aBKVoVj7xovSuS7CZ2eSsbnr4GXwGieYgDuHV0DMEskUrYHBgx4xCzwCKSt99LiqODenHJztahYwGS0bqbC3WXN14i-6p_ufv4oVfFvC78JZXJFEi/s320/5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572551526437387426" />

I then still though there is something missing, so then I went over to the internet and started browsing for film magazine covers to see what other elements they all contain. And realised they all have a barcode, issue number/date and an extra headline mainly at the bottom of the page. So then I searched for a barcode from Google images and pasted/adjusted till it fitted on the side of the magazine cover, I added a suitable date of when the magazine was published underneath the magazines title which is “REVIEW” and made up and issue number and placed it next to the barcode.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHkY1eTcVbrt9cHVQv6JjUwXx3utEwnYmkYVP9oz7S5iNZ80ZmDB3kshHnRDyJg9wpc932oAZnB3fyvjWalw7p-klyse805kA17mvFS9Xq0ZIB1IoyQeZFzY4iFIMgZIYwW7OjgHT4sXA-/s320/6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572548749639568818" />

Now if have closer look at the different types of font style I used on the magazine covers are uniquely different. There is Bolts SF for the headings for each in strong red bold and New Times Roman for the headline in the colour white. I purposely have picked some words from the sentences in bold so it makes the reader focus more onto the word itself more than the actual sentence, for example “DISCOVER HOW TO GET RIPPED LIKE JASON STATHAM”. So the reader will automatically be dragged onto the words “RIPPED and JASON STATHAM” and so are more likely to read the article further on. House style makes the reader/audience recognise the magazine layout and it consistently.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 239px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSvrCXxvkTI32YbFle1xh_i8j3NOmA1vIC9kJFSZ4iA68r_g0NnUPxPHNiMhA6XCiPCJ5bALi1BgweXyMuEtG5ixmx0RYa1u1h_DE5txl49w7bs46Ob-M9iWHdzCylT-TUm5UrvgXvWV5b/s320/7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572548936175760402" />

Finally I noticed that most of the film magazines have some kind of Free! Stuff inside such as an internet link where the reader could log on to a site and play interactive games that links to the film. So I decided to add a “FREE VIGILINTES FILM POSTER INSIDE” text in a different layout with a little rotation. I first created a circle using the ellipse tool, with inner colour active, so the inner side of the circle gets filled with the colour which I used red again to give it as consistent and a unique look. I transformed the “FREE” word is in a semi circle layout outside the circle which I created. And inside I added the following text “VIGILIANTES FILM POSTER!”

Lastly I added “COMING THIS SUMMER” with the New Times Roman to tell the audience that this film will be releasing this summer so they can go to the cinema. I have rotated this text diagonally just on the bottom right of the movie’s title name “VIGILANTES” by go to Edit>Free Transform. If you look carefully at the text “COMING THIS SUMMER” is symmetrical to Joshua’s arm. I have done this on purpose so the text does not look odd one out from the other text as this is the only text that has been rotated except the “FREE VIGILINTES FILM POSTER INSIDE” which is mainly targeted for the appropriate audience which is teenagers 13-18 years old.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXhewRf8LecnH_jt6gClnZiAMeKrHEGX8nch0wQHbhgnUkCs8rXFK_aCL82iAk6D3ykuqyp3PlKRvC4bgxEj7Dcssol835earDCpeV4Q-TLCpWSo1C75pDiaEIYPt9it456n9fTSti8HR5/s320/8.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572549357680651906" />

Here is what the final product looks like:

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 283px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPojRSffZ20jvbDUdk2izWKeS4bK0ertjVQnPCRbEOVt9gqkEWIWFnJEGWsQsGu4wTS_i2MDdW8NVI-eokkJfX881O5Dg6oQC1ONiynRXXG1jb0j_qj28NXWiCBRHS2QJ1ekhM2w_VyiGE/s400/MAGAZINE+COVER+FINISHED+.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572550947442853266" />Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-13925424247516916602011-02-08T12:22:00.000-08:002011-03-07T03:29:59.186-08:00finished film trailerPakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-35512362632549257262011-01-29T01:42:00.000-08:002011-03-26T03:42:59.616-07:00Trailer Nearing Completion By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955Ahmed and I have edited the shooting scene which was set to appear at the end of the trailer, so that two shots of Josh shooting appear between production companies we have used, this makes the trailer less linear than previously, but with the insertion of voiceover and music the trailer is now looking really good. We only need to come up with a few more title shots and we are pretty much finished, we also have to find a different music track to use in the second part of our trailer, because the track we have at the moment is ok for the first half but then it seems to turn into something reminiscent of the Power Rangers theme tune.Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-52752260223063116542011-01-24T11:13:00.000-08:002011-03-07T03:30:21.049-08:00Using Voice Over for our film trailerAs Paxton and i decided that we are going to be using a Voice Over for our film trailer. We now have a perfect sound for it. The voice over was done by our villain from our film trailer, Phil. After weeks for searching for a good voice, we didn’t realise that our villain had such an excellent and convincing voice that we could use for our trailer.

So 2 days ago, i told Phil to do some voice recording using a sound editing Program called Cool Edit Pro. And here is where i recorded his voice. So i wrote the dialogue with a bit of help from Phil the main man himself. And these were the dialogue he had to say:
"One man, who will stop nothing to save his kin
No ordinary boy
No ordinary school
This summer, discover the lengths that a father will go for his only son
A film starring Joshua Hall
Vigilante
Coming Soon....... Fortunately with the addition of a small scene that we shot at supper last night the trailer is looking much better than previously. We are almost ready in fact.

We have added production company logo's and we believe we have found a suitable piece of guitar music to play in the background of the beginning of the trailer.

Tonight I hope to film a small additional scene with Cameron making a phone call to Josh right before he is kidnapped.
Hopefully by tomorrow we will be nearing the finishing stages of our coursework.Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-5186536785941660302010-12-10T10:02:00.000-08:002010-12-10T10:05:56.944-08:00basic edit for trailerPakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-1213579393341461452010-12-10T04:12:00.000-08:002011-03-26T03:44:21.480-07:00What We've Done So Far... Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with the place and therefore could not find the lighting kit that Ahmed had reserved for us and he wasn't there so we filmed in an environment that was too dark; so the shots had to be brightened in order to see anything and as a result the picture quality was reduced.
We will return to film the same sequence later this week because the choreographing is actually very good, it's just unfortunate that things havent worked out the first time round.Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-73990568541309134382010-11-17T04:51:00.000-08:002011-03-26T03:45:45.760-07:00Shooting Session Planned By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955Tonight, assuming all goes well Ahmed and I are planning to shoot some of the video in the Ogstoun Drama Studios. We are still in the process of asking for permission from Mister Williams, however Ahmed is doing that right now. Unfortunately I will not be there at the start of the filming, as I am going to be filming a demonstration by the Gordonstoun Fire Service, so I will only arrive at the studios at 8 o'clock, however I am confident in Ahmed's ability to get the shots we need in the meantime, hopefully we will get most of what we need after this night.Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-30472374776186892192010-11-15T12:13:00.000-08:002011-03-07T03:30:35.505-08:00First day of filmingOn Sunday, we finally started filming around the lake in the school campus. At first it started raining but then, the sun came out and made it a suitable for us to actually film. Some of our actors were not available except for Josh, one of our main characters. So Jamie and I decided to take some different angled shots such as tracking shot, mid shot, low angle shots and close up shots of just him, this way we can have his introduction to the audience instead of wasting time to wait for other characters to turn up. As we were filming we also took some pictures behind the scene.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcx_7hgVwWCySuocbmqQP_1RVZ5hvLpSknnILM-50QBBcQLMEsVnk9-WBzC7O11iCYB-7SGz-HPP89v4uflmuJQvwMWj-1T6RGTw5TNm8CgNbuJzWKuNdkJ0m_86NkMGsJr4NJB1rgLtnA/s320/SANY0103.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5539879663003254210" />

Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5408292324276436591.post-5458855840687417712010-11-11T03:24:00.000-08:002011-03-26T03:46:03.786-07:00Rocknrolla Inspiration By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955I respect Guy Ritchie as a film maker, and although I am not an incredible fan of his films I have discovered a little montage of shots which is used to convey a chain of conversation between different people much more quickly than it otherwise would. The shot comes from the first five minutes of Rocknrolla, and I think it its a really good idea.
Pakkerzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14282963602056443134noreply@blogger.com0
