Shooting Script By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955

The shots that the storyboard depicts us needing are the bare essential shots that I could construct to dislpaly the storyline and not fall behind.

1) Our film trailer will start with an establishing, long shot of Josh leaving his workplace, Josh's shirt at this point will be white, as a symbol of purity and goodness, showing that Josh is clearly a good guy.

2) There will also be several shots from different angles, probably at a mid-shot level zoom, displaying Josh and Graham sitting in what we are going to be using to film Josh's lounge but is in fact the upper 6th com, the mid-shot level of the zooms will bring us close to the characters, implying to the audience that they have a level of intimacy between themselves and the main characters.

3) In the third scene where Graham is fishing at the lake, there will be a gradual outward zoom from a close up shot which will come out to show how Graham is exposed in quite open territory. Incorporating David into these shots will be good because the shot will stay close to him, so Graham will appear quite small and David will appear big, implying that Graham is vulnerable.

4) We will try to modify the technique in the fourth scene where Josh is crying cause Garham has been kidnapped in the hope of achieving the same effect. I am considdering the merits of using a contrazoom in order to use a greater range of techinques and also becuase it will draw the focus in on Josh.

5) In the fight scenes I plan to use many different techniques, Josh's fighting style is going to be more technical and advanced than simply taking someone down and kicking them, I would like to choreograph a sequence where Josh and Orcy have a group of people arround them and they are laying into them the camera moving in an arc shot arround the outside of the group, similar to a technique I used in my last film. However I understand that this may be difficult and we may be limited by the time that our actors can give us and also the actual ability of the actors, in which case we will resort to more simple methods.

6) In the chase scene I will at one point in the sequence make use of a low angle shot in order to show Josh and David as really tall implying to the audience the great importance of the chase to the storyline.

7) A close up of Josh pointing a gun will fix Josh in the minds of the audience as the film's main protagonist, also that he is dangerous, during this sequence, the shots we see of Josh will show that his shirt has changed form white to dark blue, showing that he is calm and in control but also indulgent in the dark. Implying that Josh could be an advocate vigilante justice.

8)In the shot of Josh pushing David so that he nearly falls out of the window there will be a mid shot, showing that Josh is directly in control of the situation, then there will be close ups and shot reverse shots of their faces, displaying to people the actors feelings in the situation, and also showing how dangerously close David is to falling.

9) In the shot of David hanging out of the building we are going to use a flash effect and Ahmed will edit in a picture of the actor we choose to play David, so that the audience can see that David is hanging out from a great height, but the flash will conceal that it is a photoshopped picture, because due to our releative inexperience in this field we can't be certain how the picture will turn out, but if it is bad then this will be our option.

10) We hope to simulate someone falling out of the building either like something out of Die Hard 1 where Allan Rickman falls out of the Nakatomi building, either that or Ahmed has suggested that we could use a dummy and basically throw that at the camera, or drop it at it. We have to plan this shot sequence better.
