As an inspiration, we had planning to use guns with special effects in our trailer, and to make the firing off look real, I decided to do some tests to see if its going to work out or not, I was wondering when a character fires, which sound effect suits best, and how realistic does it look with adding muzzle effect and fake smoke using a very powerful special effects software called “FXhome VisionLab Studio”. As you can see above I have made a short video clip with a friend of mine acting the scene out. And in order to make it look practical, I told him to quickly shift his hand back as soon he fires couple of times. This has got a major effect to more people than I expected. I will be making further improvments to this video footage to make it look more realistic and professional.
