Key Elements Required In An Action/Thriller Trailer By Jamie Paxton Candidate Number 5955

The trailer for any action/thriller film should be meticulously constructed, as the trailer is the world's first look at the film, and the trailer is the initial make or break as to whether or not the potential audience of the world will come and watch the film.
A trailer for an action/thriller should be:
-Well Edited
-It should not rely overmuch on voiceover or titles, as the audience's best way of picking up information is through visual imagery.
-Therefore a theatrical trailer should have a good display of mise-en-scene
-It should appear fast paced, editing again, showing the audience the key action scenes in the film, and also the more exciting effects or edits
-The editing should perhaps match the music which is playing, if like in some action trailers the trailer is being played to rock music. Like for example in "Clash of the Titans" where a giant scorpion's tail slams into the ground, the trailer has been edited so that this scene is quickly shown twice, and this synchronises what is happening in the trailer with the music, making it seem better, "Clash of the Titans" is an exelent example of a good trailer of a bad film, it mostly sells itself on the main actor, the mise-en-scene, computer effects, stunts and music, the film itself is actually not very good at all.
